Dinner Event
Date: WED, 24 April, 2013 Time: 19:00 Location: RISTORANTE LA CASA, Riedtlistrasse 2, 8006 Zürich
Located between Röslistrasse (Trams 7, 15) and Schaffhauserplatz (Trams 7, 11, 15, 15; Bus 33), this is an excellent pizzeria+ which is run by very friendly Maggie, from Wisconsin, who has been in Switzerland for decades (the ACZ Finance Committee is already very familiar with this location). During nice weather we can sit outside on the terrace.

Group Trip to Normandy, France
EC Member Dom Coloyan has spearheaded a long weekend trip to visit key historical sites from World War II. The trip starts FRI after Labor Day.
Dates:
FRI, 06.09: Fly from Zurich to Paris- DeGaulle. Chartered coach drives us to Normandy. We will be staying in a three-start hotel in Bayeux. Rooms will all be doubles: options are two twin beds or one double bed. SAT, 07.09: Guided tour, day 1 SUN, 08.09: Guided tour, day 2 MON, 09.09: Check out and drive back to Paris. Side trip to Giverny with entrance included. Fly back to Zurich in the later afternoon

OTHER MEMBER NEWS
The Charity Beneficiary Committee met on 21 April to define a selection criteria reflecting the values of the Club and select charities from those suggested during and after the Town Hall by Members.
The Committee decided upon a three-prong approach in the selection process - allowing Club members to contribute 1) informally as participants of existing externally organized fundraising activities, 2) as active group community volunteers, and 3) through a specific Club organized fundraising event. The findings of the Committee will be presented to the larger Charity Committee in advance of its May 9 meeting.

There are approximately 50 extra books leftover from 2012. If you would like an extra book as a keepsake, please get in touch with the Club Coordinator. The cost of postage is CHF 2.- OR please advise if you are coming to an event and the CC can bring your copy along.
